If MLK were alive today, he would be 93 years old. We would like to believe he would be pleased with the progress he inspired, but, as tech geeks, we also wonder what he would think of how the world has changed. After all, there was no internet, no cell phones, and so much more.

Many of you have been clients of ours for more than 15 years. While we’ve experienced great change, our parents have experienced even more. Now, many of our elderly are overwhelmed with the technology we all rely upon daily, and sometimes, they need assistance.

Yesterday, Acentec launched a new program to support the technical needs of our elderly population. Modeled after the first class IT support we offer clients like you, this program is a scaled down version specifically targeting home users.

Initially the focus will be on assisting our elderly families with their computers, internet, networking, backups, security, and cell phones. Eventually we hope to evolve this service into meeting all of the home automation needs that are common in today’s home environment.
